A Chara,

Welcome to KBSC, Kinvara Bay Sailing Club. KBSC was formed in 2004, in order to help encourage the development of sailing and associated skills in and around the Kinvara area. Initial discussions amongst local enthusiasts, decided that dinghys would be the best way to introduce new people to sailing, with the Heron dinghy being the initial dinghy of choice. During 2004/05, 12 Heron dinghys were built in the village and 6 more were purchased by families in the area leading to quite a healthy fleet.

The fleet now consists of Picos, Fevas, Herons and a mix of other craft.
The club organises supervised sailing on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, depending on the tides. Sailing happens at Crushua Peir from May to September.

We use our Facebook page for regular updates and postings about events and news. Make sure to join us there.
