Welcome to KBSC, Kinvara Bay Sailing Club. KBSC was formed in 2004, in order to help encourage the development
of sailing and associated skills in and around the Kinvara area. Initial discussions amongst local
enthusiasts, decided that dinghys would be the best way to introduce new people to sailing, with the Heron
dinghy being the dinghy of choice for a variety of reasons.
During 2004/05, 12 Heron dinghys were built in garages throughout the village and 6 more were purchased (plus 1
Mirror) by families in the area leading to quite a healthy fleet within the first year. By summer 2007 interest has
increased further and we now have 23 Herons in the club, 4 Mirrors, a Topaz & a GP 14, and 3 new Picos.
By browsing this site, we hope to keep members and visitors to KBSC, up to date with all the latest happenings at the
club.
